I am excited and I'm Isabella and this is this week for the week of January 29th 2000 on Tuesday January 30th they'll be new parent training on a new California dashboard for California dashboard show star until districts and schools are performing on test scores graduation rates and other measures of Student Success January 30th from 8 a.m. to noon the Big Smile Dental Group will be in the auditorium was our personal assistant principal is it Gary let's see Miguel now we're here with our mom looks person of the week assistant principal mr. izaguirre hi mister zagari how are you I'm actually very happy because you know I've had some wonderful things happening today and I've had a lot of those aha moments at the school with Student Success and I've had several meetings this morning with teachers who are trying prove the education of our students and I'm happy to be interviewed by you before you became an assistant principal you are a teacher in the magnet school how long were you a classroom teacher I was a classroom teacher from 2000 to 2014 so that's approximately 14 years where did you go to college and what did you study California and I graduated from USC and 1987 and I studied public policy what inspired you to get into education when I was young my dad working education and he wants a bus driver for the school district and he had to have a second job because my mom stayed at home so he had a janitorial service and I remember working at 5 in the afternoon until 7. Can me and emptying trash conducting gas and it really taught me that I had to do something important and as I grew up you know in high school after high school I love coaching children and coaching children allowed me to work with kids and I said you know what I love working with kids so I should probably get involved with education how do you like being an assistant principal dig deeper as far as working with children who are struggling with academics Behavior social issues I get to work with teachers and work in professional development but most importantly the part of the job that I like is actually canceling children takes a lot of time but I'm hoping that I can make a change their life for the better what you do you like what you do you like to do in your free time but during the Summers I like to go up to the mountains in the Sierras and I like to do a lot of fly fishing and I just lie quiet and sit around the campfire and telling those stories thank you mister zagari thanks Miguel this month school-wide character trait with phone a responsibility to talk more about it here's Gordon go-kart dismiss character trait is responsibility responsibility is making choices caring about yourself and others always keep your desk clean the materials are how about the teacher follow the rules turn in your work in time raise your hand when you have a question always do your best keep on trying never bully hit her others 6 years shakes and that's it for this week's character trait this is gor and go hard back to you in the studio with our phone questions second this week hey I'm Eric and this is the weekly question for this week at Mama's is this week's question is dragons or unicorns I want pig dragons cuz there's a breeze fire and they're cool I think that unicorn is better because of a unicorns can unicorns are much more brighter and a lot of people like like unicorns because they're pretty and some people like little kids can imagine that they're riding on some of the unicorns unicorns are better than dragons because they're more prettier they have horns what else they could do magic with it and yeah I just like unicorns dragons are better than unicorns cuz our cooler than unicorns and Harry Potter has dragons and who doesn't like Harry Potter because they are magical and can make your wishes come true sense of unicorns and Grant all your wishes after I get a unicorn to make it so that I could have a dragon unicorns I am probably unicorns because they're pretty they're really colorful they have all kinds of colors is there a beautifully white and they just remind me of happy thoughts thanks Eric with the report on next week's weather here is David going to the boat next week's weather will have warm temperatures in the mid-80s on Monday and Tuesday would love for 7 Days in the rest of the week a very nice one watch for sure that your molix forecast for next week bacterias that's all we have for this week
