hi I'm Gregory this weekend mods for the week of October 8th 2018 October 12th will be parents at the Independence Center at 8:30 in the school morning hosted by the school coordinator Miss Richards the workshop will be on the importance of School attendance for every student on Tuesday October 16th and I will be hosting its first annual stargazing night activities will include Pizza dinner from 5 to 6 classroom activities and stargazing until it's told from the Santa Clarita Valley strongly Club of the week 5th grade teacher Miss Edge. I'm all expression of the week mrs. as who teaches fifth grade in the magnet school that's how are you I'm doing fine today thank you and how are you dad thank you this is the first year at Mel Lux Magna what did you do before coming to moloch before come come on Lux I spent 11 years at Langdon Elementary School is an intervention coordinator working with groups of students all day long and I've been with the Los Angeles School District this is my 22nd year so I've been teaching in the district for 22 years thank you mrs. I said where did you go to college and what did you study I went to college at Cal State University Northridge Road where I studied what did I study o Recreation and our services and then I went to UCLA and studied for my reading credential thank you fired you to become a teacher it's funny that you asked that because I never wanted to be a teacher but when I was young I started teaching and summer camps and decided that that is what I wanted to do and I first started teaching with preschoolers and then decided that I wanted to work in elementary school and that's why I am now teaching thank you you teach fifth what's your favorite grade to teach I'm going to say that now that I teaching 5th grade I'm thoroughly enjoying 5th grade and I think it's going to become my favorite okay what is your class learning right now right now we're learning about text structures we're learning about the informational text structure and persuasive text structure and in math we're learning how to multiply whole numbers what do you like to do in free time one of my favorite things to do in my free time is to bake cookies and eat those cookies I also like to swim I like to bike and I like to run thank you mrs. that's Thanks To Toe with her work segment this week is Roxanne Roxanne discussion of the week but what do you want to be for Halloween I would like to be like a character from The Incredibles the new Incredibles 2 I would like to be violet or be Deadpool because like you seem like a cool funny guy. Seems like like a creative costume like I want to make it on my own like a home do not like a like a buying something I want to make it for Halloween I want to be a flower cuz it I think it's very cute and creative for Halloween I want to be which end because that's where I was last year and I really liked it and I'm and I'm making is like my own so we're going to go and I'm really good at sewing I'll make it with clock this year for Halloween I want to be an evil scientist cuz I I like it and I my favorite subject in school is science for Halloween for Halloween I want to be an angel angels angels are really pretty and they're so creative for Halloween I would like I would like to be a character from stranger things and the characters eleven I would like to be 11:00 because she is like a person that has a really good personality thanks Roxanne with a report on next week's weather here Sarkis thanks Elizabeth in Gregory plenty of sunshine unpleasant temperatures for next week's weather with highs in the bed topper 70s all week long that's your mom looks weather forecast for next week that's you guys thanks are you so that is all we ask for this weekend mom looks I'm Gregory and I'm Elizabeth have a great week
